SurfScan OpenWRT Upgrade

Introduction

Follow the steps in this guide to upgrade the SurfScan software on your OpenWRT based device.


Download Latest Package

Use the link Below to download the latest versions of SurfScan OpenWRT

Version 1.0.2

This version of SurfScan OpenWRT requires installation of the SurfScan Android app. Click this link from your Android device to update.


Upgrade Steps

Log into the admin ui of your GL.iNet OpenWRT device.

Navigate to System > Advanced


Gl.iNet Admin > System > Advanced Settings > Install LuCI

Gl.iNet Admin > System > Advanced Settings > Install LuCI



‘Install Now’ if prompted.


Gl.iNet Admin > System > Advanced Settings > Go To LuCI

Gl.iNet Admin > System > Advanced Settings > Go To LuCI



Click ‘Go To Luci’ and enter your password at the prompt.

Navigate to System > Software


LuCI Admin > System > Software

LuCI Admin > System > Software



Click ‘Upload Package’ and select the SurfScan OpenWRT package. Click ‘Upload’, then ‘Install’




Once installation completes, reboot your router. Your SurfScan OpenWRT router is now on the latest version and all new features are available in the SurfScan Android app.
